Description
Woodhaus in Aviemore is one of the few accommodations that can truly boast eco-friendly credentials. As a passive house, it features an energy-efficient design that blends seamlessly into its serene woodland surroundings.
The house itself is a delight to stay in, and the garden is equally impressive. Relax in the Japanese wood-fired hot tub or unwind in the sauna for the ultimate relaxation experience. Outdoor seating areas provide the perfect space for dining or simply soaking up the fresh air of the Cairngorm National Park.
Inside, the open-plan living area is light-filled and spacious, combining contemporary design with charming antique touches. Gather around the cozy fireplace on chilly evenings or watch the local wildlife through the floor-to-ceiling windows. For quieter moments, a smart TV is available for your entertainment after a day of exploration.
Need a quiet space to work? A compact study area with garden views is conveniently situated adjacent to the lounge, ensuring a peaceful environment to stay productive.
The fully equipped and stylish kitchen invites you to showcase your culinary skills. Whether you’re preparing a casual meal or a feast for family and friends, enjoy dining at the indoor table or outdoors on the furnished patio, surrounded by the tranquil ambiance.
The bedrooms at Woodhaus are designed with your comfort in mind. Sink into plush mattresses and wrap yourself in soft, luxurious linens for a restful night’s sleep. The twin room even features a skylight, perfect for letting in natural light or stargazing on clear nights.
The sleek, modern bathrooms provide plenty of hot water, with options for a refreshing shower or a long soak in the deep bathtub. Woodhaus offers two king-size bedrooms (one with an en-suite), a twin room, and a spacious family bathroom.
Families are well-catered for at Woodhaus. The enclosed garden is ideal for pets, and a cot and high chair are provided, allowing parents to travel lighter. Full laundry facilities are also available, making it easy to wash and dry your belongings during your stay.
Exploring the local area couldn’t be easier. Situated just outside the village, Woodhaus is a short walk from the center of Aviemore. Convenient road links make it simple to reach Cairngorm Mountain, the Highland Wildlife Park, or the always-popular Landmark Forest Adventure Park.
Stay at Aviemore’s finest passive home and create memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

We would happily stay here again and the observations below easily remedied. Albeit, just need to accept ongoing road noise from A road.

Very loose toilet roll holder Very loose towel rail holder Beds soft and that was echoed across everyone. En-suite papering coming away and needed touch up. Hadn’t appreciated no access to garage otherwise would have stored bikes there. No access to upstairs cupboards, but appreciated storage used for other! We use the clothes rail provided. TV reception was constantly interrupted due to traffic and location of Ariel. Back door lock didn’t quite engage and needed a strong close of door to engage lock a little! There was no available pipe to take water away from hot tub and away from decking. We have to give hot tub a good clean before first use. There was a visible water line when we got to it. |

The house was extremely comfortable and very warm. It was lovely to find a welcome pack when we arrived for both us and our dog it was much appreciated after a long drive. Communication was excellent with the owner who was very attentive. Aviemore itself is a great base for numerous
activities which kept out two sixteen year olds very busy throughout the week. The train to Inverness was fantastic and a trip to the beach at Nairn was enjoyed too. Thank you for a lovely week. |
